Dr. Bhasker specializes in Bariatric surgery as well as the treatment of female surgical disorders. She is one of the few female surgeons in India who has extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic procedures. She is the youngest female surgeon in Asia to have earned the ICE (International Center for Excellence for bariatrics) designation. She spearheads the Women’s Surgery Centre at CODS. She has presented papers at major international meetings and has various publications to her credit. She has been working with Dr. Lakdawala since 2006. |

Dr. Yogesh Agarwala is a graduate and postgraduate from J.N. Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University respectively. In his career spanning a decade, he has performed every kind of Minimal Access Surgery, and has more than 10,000 laparoscopic surgeries to his credit. Dr. Yogesh has demonstrated live surgeries at many centres including AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, RMLH & PGIMER, JNMC etc. and has been a faculty at more than 200 national and international conferences. His experience prior to joining Fortis in 2005 includes work with Ganga Ram Hospital (Vice Chairman Department of Minimal Access Surgery), Max Hospital, Narinder Mohan Hospital and Batra Hospital. He has been the first to perform bariatric surgeries in Fortis and has been working as the Additional Director & Head Department of Surgery, MAS and Bariatric Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Noida before joining the team at FMRI, Delhi.

Dr. Rashmi has over 15 years of experience in general and minimal access surgery. Rashmi has served as an officer in the Indian Navy for 5 years and has retired as Surgeon Lieutant-Commander. She has worked at Max Hospital, Saket (Delhi); Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai; and INHS Ashwini.

Ms. Remedios has a B.Hsc. in Food Science and Nutrition from SNDT University, Mumbai and a Masters in Dietetics from Deakin University, Melbourne. She is has received accreditation as a Practicing Dietician from the Dietician’s Association of Australia. Ms. Remedios is working at CODS in the capacity of a senior nutritionist with a focus on counseling patients prior to surgery. She is the patient’s first point of contact at CODS and works hand in hand with the surgeon and clinical psychologist to educate and guide the patient through the pre-operative process. Ms. Remedios has worked as a nutrition manager at Talwalkar’s Health club as well as at Kokilaben Ambani hospital in the capacity of a dietician. She has also practiced as a community nutritionist with Blue Care Allied Health Services, Queensland during her tenure in Australia. Carlyne enjoys reading fiction, music and sampling new restaurants.

Ms. Jivani has an MA from SNDT University and prior to her appointment at CODS was working with Dr. Matcheswalla for 18 months as a clinical psychologist at Masina Hospital. Ms. Jivani is the in-house clinical psychologist at CODS and forms the third integral cog in the patient management wheel (after the surgeon and nutritionist). She helps patients on a pre and post-operative basis to address emotional and psychological issues that may impact the success of the surgery including societal/family pressure, feelings of inadequacy/low self-esteem and triggers for skewed eating patterns. |

Ponsey is a MBA with a background in event management. She has worked in event management and HR positions at UTI Securities and Unifreight India for over 4 years. She is an ex-National level soccer player and has also participated in several inter-collegiate dance events. Ponsey oversees events and the patient co-ordination process at CODS. |

Ms. Jummal has been a part of the CODS team for the past 18 months and attends to all issues related to insurance, health supplement and physician/hospital service billing. Ms. Jummal enjoys movies, music and exercise. |
